Moderate Earthquake Near Santa Barbara, CA May 29, 2013

Today California had a moderate earthquake (M4.8) near Santa Barbara, California. 

It was near the Mission Ridge - Arroyo Parida - Santa Ana fault system.  The focal mechanism indicates ENE compression consistent with a thrust fault. 

Using the earthquake viewer, we can see that the chance of a larger earthquake in this area during the next year was low at the time it occurred. 

Relatively few aftershocks have been recorded at this time (14:30 local time).

There is the moderate earthquake in this part of the community. You can see the reading of the earthquake is 4.8 which http://www.ontimeessay.org/ is moderate. We have to make the arrangements in order to make our country safer from such incidents.
