Eruption at Mt. Sinabung, Indonesia

This term as I teach the course on risk and natural disasters, I am using the social site to store the lectures, as well as to report on disasters occurring during this period of time. The eruption of Mt. Sinabung on Northern Sumatra is the most damaging event at the moment.
This volcano had a minor eruption in 2010, but previous to that had been relatively quiet for about 400 years. These disaster events are reported on the Chatterwall on the social site, and visitors can find weekly reports there. Unfortunately, these eruptions are growing severity, and at least 16 persons have now been killed, with 25,000 others having been evacuated.
